Dalton Mills, one of Airedale’s landmark buildings, is undergoing a multi-million pound makeover. The mill was once the largest textile mill in Keighley, and Magna Holdings are restoring it to it’s former Victorian splendour. Combining the beautiful tranquillity of the Aire Valley with the convenience of Keighley and Bradford, Dalton Mills offers the perfect compromise.

Dalton Mills is a nineteenth century textile mill with more than 200,000 sq ft of space, on Dalton Lane close to Keighley railway station. The Clock Tower in the mill has already been transformed into 20,000 sq ft of high quality office space. We are now looking into regeneration plans for the rest of the site including the Genappe Mill and New Mill, to create a sustainable future for this magnificent part of Keighley’s heritage.

The site is a key development in the Airedale Masterplan, the regeneration blue print for the Airedale region. It’s location is a great asset, Dalton Mills is located on the side of the River Worth just a few minutes walk from Keighley train station. From Keighley train station, Leeds and Bradford are less than half an hour away, and it takes just three hours to reach London’s Kings Cross. Manchester, Skipton, Halifax and Carlisle are all easily accessible, and there are excellent transport links around the rest of Airedale.

Keighley has great local amenities and it is in line to receive £2 billion worth of investment over the next ten years. Some of the other exciting projects taking place in the area include the development of Park Lane College Keighley, the Advanced Digital Institute, a major upgrade of the rail station and the creation of an ASDA superstore on Dalton Lane

Dalton Mills has been the backdrop for BBC period drama North and South, Bollywood films , the BBC show Sunday Life has been broadcast each week from the Clock Tower, and most recently a Drama Series (Bedlam) featuring Will Young which will be broadcast early next year on living TV.

The second phase of the development will focus on the Genappe Mill and the New Mill, as the original plans to create residential space have been restructured. We believe that Dalton Mills has the potential to be a fantastic asset to Airedale, Bradford and Keighley so we are keen to find a use for the site which preserves it’s rich heritage while creating something sustainable for the future.
