Magna Plaza is Wakefield's latest completed £4m city centre development. Magna Plaza is located on Lower Warrengate, adjacent to the high proFile Trinity Walk retail development. The mixed-use scheme was completed earlier this year, creating a 56-bedroomed Travelodge, 6000 sq ft of office space and a cafe bar on the ground floor.
Hotel giants, Travelodge opened the hotel, which is one of only three major branded hotels in the city centre, in April. The scheme received a further boost in May when Open College Network Yorkshire and Humber signed up for the 6,000 sq ft of office space.
OCN Yorkshire and Humber is part of National Open College Network, who have decided to set up their regional headquarters in Wakefield city centre.
